Easy Oatmeal Cookies

Easy, quick, and delicious these oatmeal cookies are a warm treat filled with hearty oats and cinnamon.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick Butter melted and cooled.
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 tbspn honey
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract
  • 1 tspn ground cinnamon
  • ½ tspn baking soda
  • ¼ tspn baking powder
  • cup oats I used old fashioned oats.
  • cup flour
  • ¼ tspn salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix both types of sugar into the melted and cooled butter.
  • Add the egg, vanilla, cinnamon, honey and mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Next, add in the oats and stir to combine.
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and stir just until combined.
  • Preheat the oven to 375*F. Let the dough sit while the oven preheats.
  • Using a one ounce scoop, scoop 8 portions of dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Make sure there is at least 2 inches around the dough to allow for spreading during baking.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes. The edges will be golden and the middles will look slightly underdone.
  • Allow to cookies to set up on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Notes
